John Marshall Collins, Attorney/Consultant
John has practiced law for over 45 years in litigation, transactional, and corporate matters. His practice is focused in the areas of commercial real estate, where he handles negotiation, documentation, and review of sales, acquisition, ground leasing, investment, and financing transactions, negotiation and preparation of leases, handling of property management issues, lease enforcement, and evictions; brokerage and commissions; business and corporate formation; and estate and personal planning.
In addition to his practice of law, John regularly teaches as an Adjunct Professor in Santa Clara University School of Law, teaching Real Estate Conveyances. He has also served as President, Santa Clara County Bar Association and the SCCBA Law Foundation; serving as Trustee, Secretary, and President-Elect prior to the presidency, and on City and County commissions and non-profit boards.
John received his Bachelor of Arts from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and his Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Court for Northern District of California, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. Supreme Court.
